Elizabeth Gregory-Gruen’s Cut Work series uses her paper cutting process to chart the contours of our ever-changing emotional experience through the movement of form and line. Using a scalpel to cut multilayered imagery, where the dimensional layers move with vibration to create candid images that explore the behavior of shadow and color.

The bold gestural cutting conveys the intensity and complexity of the emotion and imagination of the viewer. There are no rules. Imperfection is perfection. No expectations - only discovery.
