Yael Sonia

Yael Sonia grew up between New York, Paris and Saõ Paulo and had her first work produced at the age of 16 by her mother, a gallerist and gemologist. After receiving a Bachelor's in Metals & Jewelry Design, Yael began creating handmade, sculptural designs out of silver and gold and is now known for her kinetic, sleek jewelry in motion. Her work reimagines beautiful gemstones as freely spinning spheres imbued with a sense of play and energy. She is the recipient of numerous awards, including the 2002 Tahitian Pearl Award for her Spinning Wheel necklace, which is a marvel of engineering and design.
